Birth Affirmation Cards!

Setting up a beautiful birth space was very important to me in the weeks prior to giving birth to my beautiful son, Greyson. It was very important to me to have a natural home birth. One way that I mentally prepared was by creating a series of birth affirmation cards that I strung together. These are vibrantly illustrated cards were little reminders of strength and love to refer to during my labour process. 

If you have read my story, you'll know that in my life thing often to NOT go to plan! After 35 hours of totally natural labour, it became clear to me that something was definitely wrong.I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and Greyson was born by emergency
C-section. 

It definitely was not what I was planning. In fact, it was the one thing that I desperately was trying to avoid. Thankfully, my amazing husband and midwives were there to help me through the process and around 4:30 on May 23rd, 2021 we welcomed my
9lb. 1oz. big baby boy into the world. 

I feel like process of creating and displaying these cards really helped me through the many hours of difficult unmedicated back labour.
